APPRENTICESHIP: SPECIALIST IN WAREHOUSE LOGISTICS/WAREHOUSE CLERK (M/F/OTHER)

During the course of your 2-year apprenticeship to become a warehouse clerk (m/f/other), you will learn all there is to know about the storage and shipping of the products manufactured in our factories. You will support our team with logistical planning and organisational processes, you will also monitor inventory levels in the warehouse and you will use computer-aided information systems. You will learn how to handle transport equipment, for example forklift trucks, and you will compile the accompanying paperwork and evaluate performance indicators.

WHAT'S THAT?
Warehouse clerks and specialists in warehouse logistics (m/f/other) take in deliveries of goods, monitor them and store them in an appropriate manner. They put together orders for delivery and tour plans, load up trucks and ship goods. They also help in the optimisation of logistical processes.
WHAT DOES a specialist in warehouse logistics/warehouse clerk (m/f/other) DO?
During the course of your 2-year apprenticeship to become a warehouse clerk (m/f/other), you will learn all there is to know about the storage and shipping of the products manufactured in our factory. You will support our team with logistical planning and organisational processes, you will also monitor inventory levels in the warehouse and you will use computer-aided information systems. You will learn how to handle transport equipment, for example forklift trucks, and you will compile the accompanying paperwork and evaluate performance indicators. It is important that you are also able to see the bigger picture. For this reason, we make it possible for you to make visits to suppliers and companies in a similar line of business. After 2 years, you will sit the final examinations – and if you do well, there is a very good chance we will offer you a permanent position. The apprenticeship as a warehouse clerk (m/f/other) may also be supplemented by a further apprenticeship which builds on the knowledge already gained, resulting in qualification as a specialist in warehouse logistics (m/f/other). This apprenticeship allows you to focus on developing and expanding your commercial and process-oriented knowledge, both at the vocational school and in the company itself.
The apprenticeship
Because we believe that it can never do any harm to take a look at the bigger picture, we also make it possible for you to undertake visits and do internships at upstream companies, suppliers and companies in similar lines of business. After 2 years, you will sit the final examinations – and if you do well, there is a very good chance we will offer you a permanent position. The apprenticeship as a warehouse clerk (m/f/other) may also be supplemented by a further apprenticeship which builds on the knowledge already gained, resulting in qualification as a specialist in warehouse logistics.
Person specification
As well as having passed your school-leaving examinations (Hauptschule), you should also have some organisational abilities and should enjoy doing practical activities. It's equally important to us that you are highly motivated and flexible. If you also enjoy working in a team and are conscientious and responsible, then we really should get to know one another!
